The Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure reminds us that change can come one step at a time. We are proud to announce that the Brentwood Tenn. Push Pedal Pull will have a team participating in the Greater Nashville Race for the Cure on October 29.
Lynn Fragetta, Sales, Brentwood Push Pedal Pull, has strong feelings about participating in this year’s race. “I am honored to be a part of this cause. Although my family has not fought breast cancer, we have lost battles to cancer.”
For Fragetta, her reason for being involved very much mirrors the Race for the Cure’s foundation... sisterhood and friendship. “I have several friends that have been a part of the battle against breast cancer, and, to date, have the privilege of being called survivors,” she explains.
The Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure is the largest series of 5K runs/fitness walks in the world, raising unparalleled awareness and funds to support breast cancer research. The Race also serves to honor those who lost the battle with breast cancer, while providing support and encouragement to survivors.
Rumor has it that Fragetta will make a special declaration of pink power by cycling through the race on her store’s rosy EliptiGo, the world’s first elliptical bike. Curious to learn more about this quirky, fun product? We will be highlighting it in more detail next week.
Fragetta looks forward to the Nashville community unifying around this special cause. “I am amazed at what can happen when people come together and support each other,” she says. “The unbelievable feeling of hope that resonates at these events doesn't guarantee a Cure, but keeps us going until that days comes.”
