Trading in your old, broken down, or neglected fitness equipment is a great way to rid your home of clutter and reduce the net cost of a new treadmill, elliptical trainer, or stationary bike. And thanks to Push Pedal Pull’s Trade-in Program, the process of getting the most value possible for your unwanted exercise machines is faster, easier, and more convenient than ever—especially if you follow these 5 simple tips before contacting us.
Clean the machine. Just as with any other type of used product, the general rule of thumb for exercise equipment is the cleaner the better. Taking a few minutes to wipe the dust, grime, and sweat stains off the machine can add up to extra dollars at trade-in time.
Know the pertinent details of the product: To get the most accurate value assessment, be ready to communicate to your P3 consultant the make, model, year of manufacture, and place of purchase of your machine.
Take quality photos from multiple angles: In most cases, the initial trade-in evaluation will be made via digital images. Therefore, it is important to take high-resolution photographs of the equipment from different angles and to include closeups of major features (control panel, pedals, handles, belts, etc.) and/or noticeable defects (dents, dings, significant scratches, worn out parts, etc.).
Round up all paperwork related to the equipment: You may get a bit more money for your used fitness machine if you can provide P3 with user manuals, quick-start guides, valid manufacturer’s warranties, and other relevant paperwork at the time of trade-in.
Be realistic about the trade-in value of your machine: It’s far too easy to get stuck on a particular number that you feel your equipment is worth, only to be disappointed later if you receive a lower offer. But remember that P3 must inspect, tune up and/or repair, and resell your piece, all of which take time and money. So modify your expectations a bit to make sure they’re in line with a more objective assessment of your trade-in.
If you’re ready to swap your used fitness equipment for cash or store credit towards the purchase of a newer model, we invite you to visit Push Pedal Pull’s Trade-In Program page at http://www.pushpedalpull.com/pages/trade-in-programs/.
