A brand we are proud to carry, Precor, recently urged consumers to only buy Precor products from authorized dealers.
Precor specifically sells their products through their authorized dealer retail store network (which includes Push Pedal Pull), Precor.com and Amazon.com. Unauthorized dealers occasionally offer products to unsuspecting customers, despite Precor’s best efforts to minimize this disservice.
Buying from an unauthorized dealer restricts a consumer’s rights. Authorized Precor dealers have been trained to properly install and maintain these machines. There is no promise that an unauthorized dealer knows what he/she is doing when it comes to setting up the machine IF they even set up the machine at all.
Approved dealers also have exclusive access to Precor certified parts. It may be unsafe to rely on parts not specifically designed for Precor products.
One of the most practical reasons to buy through an authorized fitness dealer is to obtain a warranty for the product. The Precor warranty is non-transferable, which means that the warranty is specific to the person who bought the product. The dealer would most likely own the warranty, resulting in the buyer paying for maintenance and repairs costs out of pocket.
Exercise equipment is a financial investment that should have a strong warranty to protect it for years to come. Without the warranty, an owner might pay a lot of money to keep the product up and running.
It’s important to buy from a reputable, and authorized, source. When Push Pedal Pull sells a product, we stand behind that product 100 percent. We provide installation, training, maintenance, delivery and more for the products we sell because we want to see customers satisfied with their fitness purchase now and for years to come.
Buying from an unauthorized dealer may seem like a money-saving shortcut, but it actually shortchanges the buyer’s fitness goals and investment.
