Buying a fitness machine is a major investment, and we at Push Pedal Pull want to see you choose the right piece of equipment that will help you reach your fitness goals and live a healthier lifestyle. Avoid costly mistakes by considering the following steps when making your purchase.
Step 1: Start your shopping by truly understanding your fitness goals.
What do you ultimately want to achieve by buying this machine? Maybe you’re hoping to lose weight, or you are exercising because of an injury rehabilitation. Whatever your reason, know your goal when you start looking.
Step 2: Make sure your goal is long term in nature.
You don’t want to wind up with a machine that only fits your short-term needs. For example, if you initially bought a treadmill because you wanted to walk, and later you advance to running, that machine may not be suited for your increased goal. Consider both where your goals are at now, and where they may be in a month or even a year from now.
Step 3: Consider who will use the machine.
If this is going to be shared with your family members, think about how they may want to use the machine. How frequently? To what extent will they use it? Also, we’ll need to know their size and weight so that we can help you make an informed decision about which piece of equipment will be the most durable and long-lasting for you and your family. We want this machine to last for years to come.
Step 4: Don’t strictly follow consumer reports.
By this step, you probably an idea in your mind of what will work. You may be tempted to jump straight to consumer reports. While consumer reports can be very helpful, they do not reflect all aspects of a machine, like brand, quality, reliability or available warranties. Also, a highly ranked machine may not even be relevant to you. While you can start your research with consumer reports, but we encourage you to talk to one of our Push Pedal Pull representatives. We have 25 years of experience, and we can share with you what our valued customers thought of the machine you’re interested in.
Step 5: Test it out!
Now for the fun part. Come into one of our stores and hop on the machine you’re considering. Let our trained staff show you the cool features of the product that you may not know are available. We can help you understand the various models that can help you reach your goals.
Step 6: Make the purchase and get moving.
We respect that you can buy these machines elsewhere, but we encourage you to buy with us. We care about you and your goals. With our local stores, we can deliver your new machine, help set it up and we’ll even follow up to see how you’re liking it. As we recently posted, buying through a big box store or online can leave you with serious regret, and we’d hate to have that be your experience.
